TB CARE I Post Graduate Course @ The Union Conference in Paris 2013
The Union Conference 2013 Date : 31st October, 2013 Location : Paris, France TB CARE I will be holding a post-graduate course entitled 'Data for Decision Making and the Use of Data for Continuous Improvement' at this year's Union Conference in Paris on Thursday 31st October 2013 from 9:00 to 17:00. This course will provide participants with tools to use both technical and financial data for programmatic decision-making. During this interactive session, participants will examine how data can be used and interpreted for making informed decisions. Participants will recognize the importance of quality data, explore ways to maximize data use, comparative data and performance feedback, and learn tips for prioritizing programatic activities and resource allocation based on data. Basic Tuberculosis Infection Control Date : March 10th-14th 2014, 2013 The objectives of this training course are to strengthen participants’ competencies in TB-IC on managerial, administrative, environmental, and personal protection measures by updating on best practices and tools in TB-IC program; prioritizing necessary activities and implement them according country available resources.
Programmatic Management of Tuberculosis (PMDT) Date : May 19th–23rd, 2014 The objectives of this training course are to provide an overview of the global and regional PMDT situation, guidelines and policies by updating on best practices and tools and using Rwanda experience of day-to- day activities in MDR TB diagnostics, treatment and care.
Integrating TB/HIV management: “One stop shop” Date : July 21st -25th, 2014 The objectives of this training course are to provide an overview of the global and regional TB/HIV co-infection situation, guidelines and policies; as well evidence on the programmatic and clinical management of TB/HIV from Rwandan TB/HIV co infection experience (One Stop TB/HIV);
Laboratory services for MDR-TB Date : July 21st -25th, 2014 The objectives of this training course are To introduce to the latest updates on lab developments related to Drug Resistant TB; to conduct appropriate laboratory processes and techniques of growth detection; and develop quality indicators (e.g. internal quality control) and conduct external quality assessment of growth detection and identification.
